Cultivate Life privacy policy

Cultivate Life keeps everything you record on your own device. It has no accounts, no servers, and no way to send your data anywhere.

Effective September 4, 2026 · Last updated September 4, 2026 · Applies to iOS and Android

The short version

We collect nothing. No personal information reaches us, because there is nowhere for it to go.

The app has no network access. On Android it does not request the INTERNET permission, so the operating system will not let it transmit data even if it tried.

No analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. The app bundles no third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting services.

Who we are

Cultivate Life is published by Experienx Technology Corporation ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with information you enter into it. It applies to the Cultivate Life mobile app on iOS and Android, and to nothing else. Our website and our other apps are covered by the main privacy policy.

What the app stores

Everything you enter stays in a single file on your device. That file holds:

A display name you choose during onboarding. It is used only to address you inside the app, and it can be anything — it is never verified and never leaves your device.

Onboarding preferences, including a character option and whether the dual cultivation feature is enabled. These affect how the game presents itself and nothing else.

Your activity log — the activities you record and when you recorded them.

Progress data: cultivation path standing, accumulated qi, current and longest streak, and the date you installed the app.

We do not ask for and the app cannot access your email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone, camera, health data, or any advertising identifier.

Where it is stored

The app writes that data as one file, cultivation_state.json, in its private application documents directory. On both iOS and Android this location is sandboxed by the operating system: other apps cannot read it, and neither can we. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no server component. We operate no backend for this app.

Device backups

This is the one way your data may leave your handset, and it is worth being plain about. The application documents directory is included in the standard operating system backup on both platforms — iCloud or encrypted local backup on iOS, and Android Auto Backup on Android.

If you have those backups enabled, a copy of your Cultivate Life data is included in them. Those backups are made and held by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies and your account settings, not ours. We have no access to them and no ability to read, retrieve or delete them. You can turn this off in your device settings.

What we do not do

We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent or share your data.

We do not use analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs.

We do not track you across apps or websites, and the app does not use an advertising identifier.

We do not show advertisements.

We do not build user profiles or run automated decision-making of any kind.

Third parties

The app includes no third-party analytics, advertising or data-sharing services. It is built with the Flutter framework and open-source libraries that run entirely on your device and transmit nothing.

If you installed the app from the App Store or Google Play, those stores collect their own information about downloads under their own privacy policies. That collection is between you and the store; we receive only the aggregate, anonymous statistics the stores make available to every developer, such as install and crash counts, which cannot identify you.

Your control over your data

Because your data never leaves your device, you already have complete control of it.

To review it, open the app — what you see is all there is.

To erase it, delete the app. Uninstalling removes the app's documents directory and the saved file along with it.

To prevent a backup copy, disable iCloud backup for the app on iOS or Android Auto Backup on Android, and remove any existing backup through your Apple or Google account.

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on request. The access, portability, correction and erasure rights granted by laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA are satisfied directly by you, on your own device.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Since no data is transmitted to us at all, no child's information can reach us.

Security

Your data is protected by the operating system's own app sandbox and by whatever device-level protection you use — a passcode, biometrics, full-device encryption. Because nothing is transmitted or stored remotely, there is no server to breach and no account to compromise.

Anyone with unlocked physical access to your device can open the app and see your data, exactly as they could with any other app on your phone.

Changes

If a future version of the app collects or transmits anything, we will update this policy before that version ships and revise the effective date above. Material changes will also be described in the app's release notes.
